ANAL SAC CARCINOMA

CHF Grant No. 2455-A: Identification of genetic mutations in anal sac carcinoma in English Cocker Spaniels
$15,000.00
Beginning 12/1/2017 and ending 11/30/2018

Tissue/DNA studies for this type of cancer are being conducted at the University of Georgia under the direction of Dr. Shaying Zhao.  If you have a dog that has been diagnosed with ANAL SAC CARCINOMA and would like to participate by donating tissue/DNA samples please contact Dr. Zhao for additional information prior to surgery.
Samples are also needed from the following:

  1.  English Cockers 10 years old or older without a known family history of anal sac carcinoma.
    2)    Dogs that were affected, but are recovered
    3)    Normal siblings, parents, or offspring of affected dogs.

or other Squamous Cell Carcinomas

TISSUE/DNA studies for this type of cancer are being conducted at the University of Georgia

under the direction of Dr. Shaying Zhao. If you have a dog that has been diagnosed with ANAL SAC CARCINOMA or CARCINOMA in another location and would like to participate by donating tissue/DNA samples please contact Dr. Zhao for additional information. If you own a dog that was affected with Anal Sac Carcinoma and is in recovery/treatment and youd like to donate a blood sample to this research contact:
