ANAL SAC CARCINOMA
CHF Grant No. 2455-A: Identification of genetic mutations in anal sac carcinoma in English Cocker Spaniels

Beginning 12/1/2017 and ending 11/30/2018
Tissue/DNA studies for this type of cancer are being conducted at the University of Georgia under the direction of Dr. Shaying Zhao. If you have a dog that has been diagnosed with ANAL SAC CARCINOMA and would like to participate by donating tissue/DNA samples please contact Dr. Zhao for additional information prior to surgery.
Samples are also needed from the following:
- English Cockers 10 years old or older without a known family history of anal sac carcinoma.
2) Dogs that were affected, but are recovered
3) Normal siblings, parents, or offspring of affected dogs.

or other Squamous Cell Carcinomas

If you have a dog that has been diagnosed with ANAL SAC CARCINOMA or CARCINOMA in another location and would like to participate by donating tissue/DNA samples please contact Dr. Zhao for additional information. If you own a dog that was affected with Anal Sac Carcinoma and is in recovery/treatment and you’d like to donate a blood sample to this research contact:Shaying Zhao, PhD
